The perks of it being open source are that it doesn’t cost you a dime, and is backed by a large community of coders and players to support it. There are plenty of the standard levels/maps that are installed with the game and a large repository of public submitted maps available for download offering hours of fun at home or in the office (for those bored and care-free employees). The game is multi-player only and extremely easy to setup and play. All of the standard time tested multi-layer modes are there and tutorial videos are even included in the installation.
